12 Pumpkin Recipes to Try This Fall

It’s hard to believe that we’re already nearing the middle of September, isn’t it? The weather has been more mild, and I’ve been loving it! Temperatures in the 70s is my favorite, and I’ve been going on lots of walks with my pup and baby to soak it up.

Now that I’ve been experiencing more moderate weather where I’m not sweating every time I go outside, I’ve had soup dinners and apple recipes on my mind… and pumpkin of course! I enjoy pumpkin recipes pretty much from now until springtime hits, and then I start craving it again come September without fail.

To give you some kitchen inspiration for this fall, today I’m sharing a dozen pumpkin recipe ideas. Let’s get to opening up those cans of pumpkin puree!

Pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal cookies {vegan + gf}. I like to keep healthy treats on hand for a snack or dessert, and these oatmeal cookies are a seasonal go-to of mine. Pumpkin + chocolate is a combo you’ll see a lot in this post because it’s such a great combo! And at under 90 calories a pop, these cookies are perfect for a little treat when you want something sweet at night.

Chocolate chip pumpkin donuts with a chocolate maple glaze {vegan + gf}. Made with oat + almond flours and topped with a glaze made with cashew butter, maple syrup, and cocoa powder, I created these healthier donuts for Shape last fall.

Pumpkin apple crumb cake {vegan}. I’ve made this recipe via Cook Nourish Bliss, like, a dozen times. Crumb cake has my heart!

Pumpkin apple banana muffins {vegan}. Way to combine a bunch of seasonal favorites into one recipe, right?

Pumpkin banana protein smoothie parfaits with apple pie granola {vegan + gf}. I make a smoothie almost every day, and in the fall I keep my daily habit up with the inclusion of pumpkin puree. The smoothie is paired with homemade granola for an addicting autumn recipe!

Chocolate pumpkin protein bites {vegan + gf}. Made with wholesome ingredients like oats, dates, and hemp hearts, these energy bites are the perfect autumn snack to whip up! Chocolate protein powder gives them a protein boost, and mini chocolate chips & cocoa provide some chocolatey goodness.

Pumpkin apple cider bread {dairy free}. This recipe combines pumpkin with another fall favorite, apple cider!

Chocolate chip pumpkin mug cake {vegan}. If you’re looking for a single serving dessert to make this fall, look no further. This mug cake takes 5 minutes to whip up and will satisfy your sweet tooth!

Pumpkin pie baked oatmeal {vegan + gf}. Oatmeal fans, this one’s for you! This make-ahead breakfast recipe from She Likes Food is a healthy, tasty way to get your day started.

Chocolate chip pumpkin protein smoothie. Switch up your regular smoothie with this pumpkiny one!

Chocolate pumpkin spice cereal bars {dairy free + gf}. Requiring just a couple of ingredients, these snack bars are loved by adults and kids alike.

Pumpkin oatmeal waffles {vegan + gf}. Made with rolled oats and pumpkin puree, these blender waffles from Making Thyme for Health are hearty, satisfying and perfect for fall. They’re great to make for weekend brunch!

School’s out for my little girl ☀️& here are 4️⃣ screen-free tools that I’m using to keep my 6 year old busy and learning when we’re home this summer: 

1️⃣ @mondaymandala’s awesome array of free digital printables on just about anything you can think of 🖍️

2️⃣ @youngwildandfriedman’s amazing sensory kits that are high-quality and last forever. I have purchased a serious amount of these play dough and sensory sand kits over the years & they are worth every penny! My kiddo will spend hours setting up all of the little trinkets and building little play dough towns.

3️⃣ @Canva’s printable educational worksheets ✏️ For instance, I printed out money worksheets & am planning on doing a money lesson that includes us emptying out her piggy bank to delve deeper into currency & paying for something she wants at the store with her own 💵

4️⃣ A @brain_quest workbook — I bought one last summer as well & we love incorporating it into little lessons at home!

📍Murray Canyon Trail to Seven Falls is such a beautiful, scenic hike in Palm Springs 🌴

It features a palm tree oasis, rock scrambles & a number of stream crossings, which my daughter loved! When we hiked it last month, the water was high and FREEZING at the end 🥶 so bring your bathing suit if you like a cold plunge… This one was so much fun! ☀️

Details: 
🥾Murray Canyon Trail to Seven Falls
👣 4+ miles out & back
⛰️ About 600 ft elevation gain 
💲Must pay an entry fee at the Indian Canyons Toll Gate
❗️It was crowded when we arrived mid-morning & they do close temporarily when too many people are arriving. However, once we got to the parking lot, there was plenty of parking towards the back, closer to the trailhead.
