Happy Wednesday! Firstly, here's my weekly update on my autumn slim down challenge: I think that taking a break from the scale last week was a great idea for me, and I continued to push forward with eating smaller portions of healthy, delicious food with some indulgences sprinkled in, and working out daily. I don't think I could lose the scale completely, but I think I might ditch the scale for a week or more at a time more often. Since I first talked about wanting to lose 5-10 pounds a little over a month ago, I've lost 5 pounds. I feel great, and want to continue my weight loss efforts for the next couple of weeks to see if I can tone up a bit more and lose another couple of pounds. WIAW: Still Loving Apples, Cashews & Lentils
Hi and Happy Wednesday, though most of your days have already come to an end! I feel like this week has been zipping by. Thanks to you ladies for your sweet comments on yesterday's post. Like a few of you mentioned, what matters most is how I feel in my own skin. Living healthily and happily is a constant balancing act, and I'm just trying to find that (almost) perfect balance that makes me feel best -- although I must add that I feel pretty happy and healthy already! WIAW: Taco Night in Less than 10 Minutes
Fact: I love stretching, and typically do so on a daily basis. When I don't stretch for a couple of days, my body starts to feel achy and stiff. This doesn't happen often, but while my girlfriends were in town this past weekend, I didn't do any real exercise besides walking around San Fran and taking Harley for long walks - and I did very little stretching. So this morning when I woke up, I was looking forward to getting a nice stretch in post-walk with my pup. My foam roller felt glorious! (source) My workout at the gym this evening was my first sweat session of the week, and it was a good one. I got the okay to take off my foot cast a couple of days ago - WOOHOO!
