Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Bites {vegan + gf}
Made with wholesome ingredients like pumpkin, oats, dates, and hemp hearts, these energy bites are the perfect autumn snack to whip up! Chocolate protein powder gives them a protein boost, and mini chocolate chips & cocoa provide some chocolatey goodness. I feel like I say this every time I post an energy ball recipe, but I really love energy bites as a healthy little snack! I'm constantly switching up my energy ball combos, and I usually make a batch on the weekend, them throw them in a bowl to have available for on-the-go snacking or a healthy dessert all week long. My husband loves energy bites too. His favorite kind is chocolate peanut butter, but he's an energy bite monster in general... and a cookie monster too for that matter! I legit hide my Lenny & Larry's Complete ... [Read More]

We all have our favorite traditional holiday dessert recipes, but sometimes I think it's nice to switch things up and add in new ones. Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies {vegan}
Have you gotten bit by the holiday baking bug? I definitely have! Last weekend I baked up a storm making treats to give to my San Diego friends and neighbors this week to spread some holiday cheer. It was quite a festive weekend for me, because I also watched Elf and visited a neighborhood in a town called Poway nicknamed Candy Cane Lane. My friend Tiffany had told me about it, and while she probably knows about it because she's a mom, I'm a little kid myself when it comes to the holidays...so I was thoroughly intrigued! Naturally, my hubby and I headed to Candy Cane Lane on Saturday night to check it out. You guys, it was amazing - so many gorgeous houses decorated so beautifully for the holidays! Some houses even were showing movies on projector screens and giving out ... [Read More]
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins [vegan]
In my household, we eat a lot of bananas. We're not quite up to par with some plant-based eaters that I've come across who routinely eat 10 bananas in a day (whoa right?), but my hubby and I go through around a dozen bananas a week together. I primarily eat them in smoothies, with nut butter, or atop yogurt and smoothie bowls. My hubby usually eats them in his protein shakes or on their own, especially to refuel after he's gone for a run or bike ride. Since we love our naners, it only makes sense that we both dig banana bread! Last weekend I wanted to make a chocolate chip banana bread as part of a gift for our friends' birthday party for their 2-year old - who I remembered loved my banana bread the last time I shared one with them. I have a go-to vegan banana bread recipe that I've made ... [Read More]
Cinnamon Brown Sugar Banana Bread Cookies {vegan}
Earlier this week I deemed my hubby and me to be Mr. and Mrs. "Cookie Monster" Crane after we ate an entire batch of these cinnamon brown sugar chocolate chip banana bread cookies in just a couple of days. We both dig banana bread, which is why I make it at least once every few months. But last Saturday, when I was in full kitchen experimentation mode, I decided to get a little creative and make banana bread cookies instead of a regular old banana bread loaf. I decided to play around with using brown sugar as the primary sweetener, and then I went heavy duty on the cinnamon (which is partly the reason for the cookies' dark color) because yummmm, it's my favorite thing to sprinkle on top of nearly everything I eat. I thought about excluding chocolate chips, but then I thought, ... [Read More]
