On-The-Go in Fabletics [Clothing Line Review]

Hi friends!

First thing’s first: The winner of my ProYo giveaway is Christa Lopez. Thanks to all who entered! Christa, I’ve emailed you for your contact info. 🙂

Now onto today’s topic: workout clothes! Since I work from home and exercise almost every day, I seriously live in my workout clothing. Naturally I love having cute workout gear that I can feel good about and comfortable in, and I usually buy a few new things every couple of months to keep my wardrobe fresh and fun. One brand that I’ve been buying lately is Fabletics, Kate Hudson’s line. Since I’ve now purchased a bunch of Fabletics outfits, I thought it’d be fun to share my experience with the line thus far.

Kate's Fitness Favs

How it Works: For anyone who isn’t familiar with them, Fabletics offers customers what it calls a VIP membership — which allows you to get special discounts on outfits each month. At the beginning of each month, you can either pick out an outfit or skip the month. I skip more than I actually buy, and it’s super easy to do so. Fabletics sends you an email to let you know that you need to skip or else you’ll be charged, which is usually my reminder to scope out outfits or pass on the month.

With VIP membership, Fabletics picks out outfits for you based on the preferences that you’ve set, which I think is a fun way to quickly see styles that you’ll probably dig.

Fabletics gray top outfit

My very first Fabletics outfit

You also have the option to just shop as a regular customer with no commitment and monthly action necessary. However, you don’t get the best Fabletics deals this way, which leads me to….

Pricing: Something I love about Fabletics is its affordability. There are so many workout brands out there that I absolutely adore, but most of them – lululemon, Athleta, and Lorna Jane included – are not at all cheap. While I have unfortunately gotten used to paying $100 for a good pair of workout capris, Fabletics offers entire outfits for half that price. It’s great!

When you sign up as a VIP member, your first outfit is just $25 (How can you beat that?!). For the months following that, entire outfits start at $49.95, and go up to $89.95. This includes either 2 or 3 pieces.

Fabletics-gray shirt & black capris

Me post-barre class on the right, wearing Fabletics

Sizing: In general, my sizing varies. Sometimes I wear a size small bottoms, sometimes I need a medium, and sometimes I feel best in a large depending on the fit (For instance, Lorna Jane pants seem to run small so I go bigger with their clothing). With tops, I usually wear a medium unless the brand runs on the bigger side. What’s interesting with Fabletics is that that hasn’t really been the case. This has been my overall experience with their pieces:

Fabletics orange top-2

  • The tops – What I’ve found with Fabletics tops is that they run big. I tend to like a somewhat relaxed fit, but their medium tops have pretty much all been a bit too baggy. I’ve kept them all because I still wear and like them, but I might start ordering a size small. As you see in the pictures, the orange and gray tops are kind of big on me. The gray top is especially loose fitting, and kind of falls down a lot when I’m working out (hence why it’s become more of a hangout/just going for a walk kind of shirt).

Fabletics-gray shirt & pink capris

The above gray shirt was a little too loose fitting when I first got it, but I managed to shrink it and now I like its relaxed fit.

Fabletics orange top

Ya know, just hanging out in a wind cave with my Fabletics on. 🙂

  • The bottoms – To put it simply, I love Fabletics capris. I’ve bought a size medium every time and each pair has fit me perfectly. I love how they have lots of color and patterns choices. I’m all about fun pant colors lately!

Fabletics blue capris

Fabletics pink capris

I especially love wearing the above pink/purple/gray capris for yoga, barre and pilates workouts.  Fabletics orange outfit

  • The sports bras – I’ve only received 2 Fabletics sports bras, and really only because they happened to be included in entire outfits that I purchased (like in the orange/black outfit above). Ladies, all I can say is that if you have any kind of chest – where ya know, things bounce around a lot unless they’re held in place – Fabletics sports bras probably won’t work for you. They offer very little support and I’ve hardly worn either of mine because of that. I hope in the future Fabletics will start to make different styles of sports bras that are fitting for women with larger ta-tas!

Doing an at-home HIIT workout in Fabletics attire

Overall, I really like Fabletics and have fun picking out new workout attire through their stylish, affordable line. I’m definitely going to purchase a few new things from them this summer, and I think the next must-have thing on my list for July is a new pair or two of activewear shorts! Fabletics gray shirt & pink capris-2Tell me.. Have you tried Fabletics out? What’s your favorite workout clothing line?

Note: I was not compensated for this post, nor have I received complementary Fabletics clothing. I simply wanted to share my thoughts on the line with you all!

Spread the love

I’m either in workout clothes or professional clothes – I feel like I own no “normal” clothes. Thanks for sharing!

Ha! I seriously have 2 styles: workout clothes or a casual but a bit dressy look of sundresses/skirts. Both are comfortable to me!

Interesting! The colors are AWESOME! And I love that they run big, not small. It’s annoying but not as annoying if you felt like you were a stuffed sausage haha that’s the worst! I wonder how long they will last…that’s the true test!

You are so right! It’s depressing when clothes run small and you think, “What’s going on here?? Have I gained a lot of weight or something?!” On that note, I actually have noticed that a pair of Fabletics capris I got last year now have a small hole in the crotch, so no wearing those to workout classes anymore. Haaa!

So cute!!! I have some of the same pieces. 🙂 I love Fabletics too. They have such cute stuff and are really affordable. I would like some of the pants and sports bras to be a bit stretchier though.

Twinsies as usual lady!! Got to love how affordable they are. Funny you should say that, I JUST got a pair of shorter capris from them that are a bit tight and not very stretchy – first time I’m experiencing that with their pants.

Fabletics has some super cute stuff! I’m like you used to be and usually resort to Lululemon for bottoms because I know they’re well made. But I agree, they are so outrageously expensive so it’s nice that Fabletics is offering more affordable options!

Yea, I think that it’s nice to have a few of the high quality more expensive stuff as main pieces – like a great sports bra or pants that you’ll wear often – but then I like to sprinkle in some of the more affordable stuff in there like Fabletics, whose quality still seems pretty good but might not last quite as long.

I have been wanting to order something from Fabletics for ages now, but I have heard a lot of bad things about the delivery here in the UK. I think I just need to order something and see for myself.

I have been wanting to try Fabletics for a while now, but I keep putting it off saying I have ENOUGH workout clothes…even though I LIVE in workout clothes and they totally trump “regular clothes”…ever since I’ve purged half my closet though, I AM going to need some new workout clothes here shortly! I love the printed pants too – I need more of those b/c most of mine are blah black…

I say go for it! It’s always fun to add in a new outfit into the rotation even if you “have enough” — I mean, I don’t really ever “need” new workout clothes, but it’s fun to mix it up!

La Jolla is an ever popular area, but for good reason… It’s one of the most beautiful areas in San Diego ☀️ & my favorite time of year to visit is NOW when it’s Harbor Seals Pupping Season! 🦭

📍Casa Beach is closed off from humans from mid-December through mid-May for birthing & bonding, and most of the seal pups are born in February & March. They are so much fun to watch!

Last weekend we got to ride on the world’s largest rotating aerial tram car, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway 🌴⛰️ Guests travel 6,000 feet up in just 10 minutes!

Once we reached the top, we hiked a couple miles of trails in Mount San Jacinto State Park - where it was only 37 degrees and windy, brr! - and took in the beautiful views.

Here are a few tips for optimizing a Palm Springs Aerial Tramway adventure:

✨Show up early. We didn’t realize how big of a production this excursion would be, and when we arrived at 11 am, the wait time was 2 hours to ride the tramway. If I could do it over, I would show up at opening time.

✨Bring breakfast. While they do have food options while you wait for your tram ride, it’s stereotypical not very healthy American food. Pick up food at a local cafe and bring it with you to enjoy outside. We love @palmgreenscafe!

✨ Bring extra clothes. The temperature at 8,500 ft elevation varies from 20-40 degrees colder, so make sure to pack a jacket, sweatshirt, hat, even gloves.

Who else is pumped for the Olympics to start?! 🇺🇸

This curling competition experiment is a hit with my kiddo! Here’s how to make it:

You’ll need:
✨A rimmed baking sheet
✨Aluminum foil
✨Permanent markers (we used black + red)
✨A variety of pebbles
✨Optional: buttons, craft pom-poms and other objects to experiment playing with

1️⃣ Spread foil across your baking sheet. Draw the starting line on 1 side and a small circle inside a large circle on the other side.

2️⃣ Place your “rink” in the freezer, then fill it with water halfway up the sides. Chill until it’s totally frozen.

3️⃣ Time to play! Each player picks 3 pebbles. Take turns using a finger to push your pebble towards the target.

🥌 Pebbles that land in the inner circle = 3 points each
🥌 Pebbles that land in the outer circle = 1 point each
🥌 3 rounds = 1 game

❗️Players can hit other pebbles & knock them out of the circles, which is fun!

❗️Once all players use their pebbles, that’s the end of round 1. Tally the scores as you go!

✨Idea from @kiwico_inc’s Winter Wonders experiment book

Welcome to my new series, Easy Plant-Based Meals, where I share simple, nutritious meals that I make for my family on the regular. 🥦🥕🥬🧅🧄🫘🫑

Today I’m making Garlic Pearled Couscous with Roasted Chickpeas & Veggies.

Here are the ingredients you need to serve 4:

1️⃣ 2-3 boxes of Near East Pearled Couscous with Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil (I find that 3 boxes yield about 4.5 cups; you can also use a plain pearled couscous)
2️⃣ 1 can garbanzo beans
3️⃣ 4 TSP avocado oil
4️⃣ 1 zucchini
5️⃣ 1 bell pepper
6️⃣ 2T-1/4 cup pine nuts, optional but I like the added heart-healthy crunch
7️⃣ Salt, pepper & paprika to taste

Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375. Drain & rinse chickpeas, then add to a baking dish. Add 2 TSP of avocado oil, and a nice sprinkle of salt, pepper, and paprika to taste. Mix it up, then cook for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.

2️⃣ Cook the couscous according to the box directions.

3️⃣ Heat 2 tsp avocado oil in a sauté pan over medium-low heat. Chop the zucchini and bell pepper, add a sprinkle of salt & pepper, then cook until tender.

4️⃣ Lightly toast the pine nuts.

5️⃣ Plate the couscous, add the roasted chickpeas & veggies on top, & sprinkles pine nuts onto each plate. Enjoy!

🌎 The largest National Park in the contiguous U.S. - 3.4 million acres! - did not disappoint 🔥 Here’s what we had on our agenda for Day 2️⃣ of exploring Death Valley National Park:

📍Explore the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes
🛷Go sledding down the dunes!
🥾Hike Mosaic Canyon Trail ~ a 3.5-mile out & back trail with 974 ft elevation gain. This trail was so much fun & the rock formations are gorgeous! My daughter loved climbing & bouldering around. It features some cool slot canyons and difficult rock scrambling - our kinda speed!
