Hi friends! Check out the best thing I've seen all day: Photos That Only Dog Owners Will Understand It had me cracking up this morning. A lot of them are so true! Here are my favorite photos that are applicable to life with Harley girl: Okay, so Harley hasn't actually done that last one per se that I know of, but given the opportunity, I'm sure she would! The bed picture makes me laugh because Harley was terrified of her dog bed when we brought it home. For the first few nights she slept next to the bed and refused to step on it, but now she loves it. She also has a favorite blanket that has a million holes in it from her chewing it, and she literally wraps herself up in it like a person at least once a day. It's hysterical! Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Granola Bars
Hi friends! This weekend has been a pretty rainy one in San Diego - not that I'm complaining, since it's still been in the 60s. I'll take that any day over 25 degrees and snowy! Besides taking Harley for long walks both yesterday and today and having a tennis workout earlier with my hubby, I've pretty much been indoors the rest of the time. Rainy weekend activities have included checking out the bookstore, where I picked up a new cookbook on sale.... ...cleaning, and seeing Zero Dark Thirty at the movies last night. I've also spent some time in the kitchen. Pumpkin Oatmeal Muffins
Last night I was in the mood to bake, so bake I did! I found 2 pumpkin muffin recipes I had scribbled down and tried before, and mixed & matched their ingredient lists to come up with a recipe of my own. So far, I love eating these babies 1.) warmed, along with some berries for breakfast and 2.) toasted, with a touch of butter, cinnamon & brown sugar on top for dessert. Note: these muffins aren't overly sweet, so if you're looking to make them super sweet, just use more sugar and/or honey.
