Hello from Amsterdam! After a long trip - one that included traffic, a layover, an overnight flight with hardly any sleep, missed trains, and getting lost trying to find my hotel - I made it to my hotel this morning and had a chance to enjoy this lovely city. Let me back up though, and share with you a post I wrote en route to Chicago yesterday (I had to pause and figure out if it was technically earlier today, yesterday or two days ago - that's what travel and no sleep will do to ya ;-) ). Remembering 9/11 Though I don’t want to get too into it and freak myself out on a day when I’m flying, I want to at least recognize that it’s 9/11. I can’t believe it has been 12 years already since that horrible day that has forever impacted America. Like most people, I’ll never forget ... [Read More]

Healthy Fats to Eat Often
Happy Presidents' Day! I'm enjoying a much needed Monday off. Traveling always takes it out of me a bit and I love that I had today and yesterday to recoup. Last night I was exhausted and passing out by 8 PM -- helllooo jet lag! This afternoon is shaping up to be an active one: first we took Harley girl for an hour walk, then Adam and I played tennis together. Next up: food shopping and whipping up a fancy dinner! A Snow Storm, BluePrint Juices & Self-Love Talk
Happy weekend! Do you like the randomness of this post's title?! It's a Winter Wonderland I was supposed to fly back to San Diego later on today, but I just heard that Newark airport is closed this morning. Craziness! I actually switched my flight yesterday already. I was thinking about rescheduling it anyways because I want to stick around longer for my grandma to get better, and the snow storm gave me an easy out. My grandmother is fighting through having pneumonia and scheduled for her surgery to remove the cancer next week, so I'm sticking around longer to be with her more. At my parents house, we got around 6 inches or so of snow last night, but I'm hearing that up north got a ton of more snow. I hope that everyone in the northeast stays safe and warm during this winter ... [Read More]
Three Thing Tuesday
Hi friends! Today was a busy, productive day full of work, errands and exercise. Now I'm hanging out with my little family, feeling content and quite tired. I thought I'd share 3 highlights of my day with you, hence my title, Three Thing Tuesday: #1 - When I woke up today, I found out that I've been accepted as an Ambassador for Girls Gone Sporty, a fun group dedicated to sharing the top products, trends, and ideas for advancing the fit and adventurous lifestyle of ''sporty girls." The GGS crew looks for Ambassadors who embrace their tagline, ''Live the sporty life!” Women who work hard, play hard, compete, and eat, all with the intention of being their best, most positive selves. I feel that I fit this description pretty well, and I'm completely thrilled that the folks at GGS ... [Read More]
