This Sunday is the Super Bowl, which I always equate with not only football, but food of course! As a huge football fan, I usually get a little sad this time of the year when the season is winding down and the games are no longer on normal Sunday, Monday and Thursday times. But this year, I only feel a smidge sad because my team, the New York Giants, were TERRIBLE this year & it was often sort of painful to watch them play. Still, as a Giants fan, it's an interesting dynamic to have a Super Bowl game be between the Eagles and the Patriots. On one hand, the Eagles are the Giants' nemesis, and being so geographically close to one another in New Jersey & Philly, it's easy to hate on each other. Hey, hey! How was your weekend? Mine was a good one that was full of sports! My husband and I went to the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, which was neat. I'm not a huge golf person but find sporting events of pretty much any kind fun - plus it was my first time at the Torrey Pines golf course, and the views were beautiful as expected! I also watched a lot of tennis, as the Australian Open came to a close. Watching the Williams sisters compete against each other in the finals was inspiring - I mean, they are such badass female athletes! - so on Sunday my hubby and I headed to the tennis courts nearby to get in a workout together. With the Super Bowl coming up in a week, I know that there are plenty of people out there trying to come up with easy but tasty (and hopefully somewhat healthy!) munchies to bring to a party or have at their own place.
