Hi friends! As a few of you have commented on, my blog got a bit of a makeover over the weekend. I'm loving the new look, and will be working to change a couple of other things soon! I just got back from a bike ride with my hubby. It was perfect weather for an outdoor workout, but the ride didn't go as planned. The trail we chose had a super steep incline, and I was huffing and puffing like a mad woman within a few minutes. My legs are still sore from last Thursday's leg workout (plus Friday's hike probably didn't help my achy legs recover to recover quickly!), and weak legs are never a good thing when biking. My First Pomegranate
While exploring the Little Italy farmer's market a few weekends ago, my friend Jackie was psyched when we spotted locally grown pomegranates. I had somehow never eaten a pomegranate fruit before, which might be a bit odd since I'm slightly obsessed with fruit. I've had many pomegranate flavored things, just never the real thing. Always excited to nab foods at the market that I haven't eaten before, I picked one out to try. Pomegranates are a fruit with a lot of health benefits. They're full of antioxidants and rich in nutrients, particularly Vitamin C, B5 and Potassium. A 2012 Resolution in Action
A certain spoiled puppy was pretty happy she got to run around at the park for a bit this afternoon: Something about Harley sitting next to me in the passenger's seat looking out the window and making that face like she's ecstatic with life cracks me up. I was rewarded for my playtime efforts by getting some peace and quiet for the rest of the afternoon: Moving on to food, I threw together a nutrient dense side as part of my dinner tonight, which I'm deeming fruity guacamole for lack of a better term. Did you know avocado is a fruit? I just found this information out recently. For some reason I always thought of it as a veggie.
