What kind of workouts have you been getting into lately? I've noticed that when I get crazy busy, I tend to stop getting as creative with my workouts. And since April was a hectic month for me, my workouts were not all that exciting. I had been going to some fun classes that were challenging me, but the first thing that goes when my schedule is packed is fitness studio visits. After all, not having to drive to studios saves time in my day! I was also traveling for half of the month, during which I snuck in quick morning workouts before full days. Tuesday Triceps Workout
Happy Wednesday! I'm not a fan of making excuses - for anything in life really - so I try to do it as little as possible. This is especially true when it comes to staying active. I schedule my workouts & long walks with my dog into my day and make it a priority, and I didn't want this to change when I injured my foot. As I talked about last week, I've been working around my injury and doing low-key workouts - sometimes at the gym and sometimes in my living room. Wearing the boot hasn't been fun, and me hobbling around the gym probably looks pretty comical, but I've been showing up and exercising - no excuses. Everything But the Legs: Working Out Around an Injury
First off, I just wanted to say that my thoughts are with everyone in the path of Hurricane Sandy. It's been hard to watch the chaotic weather hitting my home state of New Jersey, where my family & friends live, while I'm so far away from it all. Luckily, all of my loved ones are safe and doing fine - just without power and with some minor damage, including the gigantic tree at my grandma's house that shines with Christmas lights every year that's now on the ground blocking her driveway.
